The Agile Manifesto declares that people and interactions are more valuable than processes and tools, but what if no one is listening? When you’ve got the skills to make a persuasive argument, people listen! These skills are easy to learn. The fastest way is to do so through deliberate practice with peers and/or a skilled coach. It’s as simple as:

      • Get your audience’s attention (start with a question, a challenge, or a problem others can relate to.)
      • Tell a memorable story (share a reason why people should get involved)
      • Inspire confidence (help people understand your qualifications)
      • Make a powerful request (make it easy for your audience to support you; let them become heroes in your quest!)

Improve your own skills of persuasion by enrolling in Story Telling for Impact!

Great insight! The Agile Manifesto emphasizes the importance of people and interactions, but effective communication is key to making that principle come alive. Learning to craft a compelling argument and engaging your audience is essential for driving change. Your steps break down the process beautifully, especially the focus on storytelling and making a powerful request.
